St. Luke’s selects Keeter as new lead pastor

PONCA CITY — St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene is welcoming Pastor B. J. Keeter as new Lead Pastor. 

Keeter served as Youth Pastor at St. Luke’s from 2007-14 before spending the past 12 years as Lead Pastor of Van Buren First Church of the Nazarene in Arkansas.

Keeter graduated from Southern Nazarene University in 2004 with a degree in Theology and Ministry, and was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene in 2009. 

Keeter and his wife, Rachel, have three children, Bradley, Clayton, and Claire. 

He loves preaching, building relationships, and helping people discover a place where they can belong, grow, and serve. Outside of ministry, he enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, sports, and sharing a good laugh with friends.

“Rachel and I are grateful for the opportunity to return to St. Luke’s and reconnect with an incredible community that has been a meaningful part of our lives. We believe God is already at work in this church and community, and our hope is that St. Luke’s will continue to be a place where people experience the love of Jesus, find genuine community, and discover that there is a place for them here. We believe there are wonderful days ahead, and we’re excited to be part of what God is doing, said Keeter.

A special worship service celebrating Keeter’s installation as Lead Pastor. will be held on Nov. 15 at 10 a.m.
