Warrant issued for subject involved in an injury accident

NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Michelle Nichole Green, 45, Ponca City, by the Kay County District Court.

Green is charged with a felony count of unauthorized use of a vehicle filed on Oct. 2.

Ponca City police report that Green is accused of taking a 2015 Nissan Sentra from its owner on Sept. 1 without permission. Green was later involved in an injury accident on U.S. 77 and Coleman Road. She was injured and airlifted to a Tulsa hospital. (see story)

The owner of the Nissan, reportedly told police that she wants charges pressed. A witness reportedly told police that she saw Green leave in the vehicle. Video of Green leaving in the Nissan was also presented to police.

A warrant with bond endorsed at $5,000 is issued for Green.

Green’s arrest record includes an aggravated DUI arrest in 2009 in which she was given a one-year deferred sentence.
