Embezzlement suspect appears in district court

NEWKIRK — A woman accused of embezzling at least $33,000 from Kinkaid Veterinary Hospital is set to appear in Kay County District Court on May 10.

Sara Beth Allison, 22, Ponca City, is charged in with felony embezzlement.
Police report in the affidavit that owner David Kinkaid could not figure out why is business was losing money.

Kinkaid reportedly told police his bank statements show a loss of $33,230.64 and that he was charged $7,423.98 in overdraft charges, brining his total loss to $40,654.27.
