The following information provided on the Kay County Sheriff radio logs.
At 8:58 a.m. KSO received a report of online fraudulent charges. A deputy made a report.
At 9:14 a.m. KSO received a report of a break in at 8101 west Peckham Road. A deputy took information for a report.
At 11:15 a.m. KSO received a request for a welfare check on a teen who had reportedly been sending texts about killing people. A deputy made contact with the teen and parents and learned the comments were in reference to a Hank Williams Jr. song.
At 12:20 a.m. Blackwell police advised KSO of a report of a domestic. At 3:52 p.m. a deputy arrested Brandon Ebert, 34, Blackwell at 18 Adam Road on a domestic assault charge.
At 7:27 a.m. KSO received a report of a trailer stolen from the area of Lake Road and Pecan Road. Information for a report was collected.
At 7 p.m KSO received a request for extra patrol in the area of T Street and Coleman in lieu of traffic issues and trash dumping.
At 8:36 a.m. a deputy took a report on a theft from the 2500 block of west South Ave.
At noon a deputy responded to the Kaw Nation Child Support office for a report of a male causing problems. The deputy made contact with Christopher Dale Jackson, 36, Ponca City, at Take Ten. He was arrested and booked in the county jail on charges of trespassing and obstructing an officer.
At 12:58 p.m. a deputy responded to Timbers Apartments and arrested 34-year-old-Krystle Marie Stephens on four charges including escape from arrest and identity theft. She was booked in the county jail and held on $70,499.84 bond.
At 12:47 a.m. a deputy arrested Stephen Adkinson at the intersection of 14th Street and Otoe on a public intoxication charge.
At 1:30 a.m. a deputy responded to the area of Ranch Drive and Highway 60 for a report of a man covered in moss walking on the roadway and waving at cars. A deputy located the subject and dropped him off at the hospital.
At 4:56 a.m. a deputy arrested Ed Lawson, 24, at the intersection of South Ave. and Palm Street.
At 6:02 a.m. a deputy arrested Corey Brownlee, 38, at 416 South 13th Street.
At 6:40 a.m. a deputy arrested three subjects at the Valero, 14th Street and Ponca.
At 7:50 p.m. a deputy arrested William Bookout on Highway 60 west of the Arkansas River Bridge on warrants. A vehicle was towed from the scene.
KSO received a report at 4:32 p.m. of an accident at the intersection of Waverly and Hubbard. Deputies, OHP, Ponca City police, ambulance and Kaw Nation responded. At 5:24 the roadway was cleared.
At 3:19 p.m. KSO received a report of vandalism in the area of Highway 177 and Cowboy Hill Road. A deputy took a report for petit larceny.
At 3:20 p.m. Kay County Commissioner Jack Godberson notified KSO of a possible accident in the 4600 block of North Enterprise. Deputies and an OHP trooper responded. A mailbox was hit and the driver of the abandoned vehicle was sought.
At 6:40 p.m. an OHP trooper advised of a head on collision involving two semis on U.S. 177 west of Braman. No injuries were reported and one of the semi’s was on its side.
At 1:20 p.m. KSO fielded a call from the Kanza Travel Plaza -Braman Casino reporting a woman’s being held hostage by her son. The woman said he forced her into a car at Meadowbrook Village in Ponca City and was heading toward Wichita, Kan. but stopped at the plaza for gas, where she got away. While responding to the scene, a deputy reported he was almost hit by the suspect, who was driving a white 200 Mazada, on Peckham Road. Believing the suspect was in a school bus, deputies responded to Peckham School. The bus and school were cleared. According to the radio logs, the suspect was not located.
At 3:08 p.m. deputies responded to Kaw City for a report of human remains discovered. All deputies and reserves were activated. The recovery carried over into Saturday. The remains were later confirmed to be those of 20-year-old Quentin Bailey Rouch, Arkansas City, Kan. He was reported missing in May of 2018 and last seen in Ponca City.
At 10:58 p.m. a deputy responded to First Council Casino in Newkirk after security reported a combative subject who was trying to slip out of handcuffs. Andy Willam Mitchell, 26, was taking into custody.
