NEWKIRK — A court date is set in Kay County District Court for Jason Granallen Prince, 47, Enid, in Kay County District Court.

Prince is facing two domestic charges and a kidnapping charge.

The Kay County Sheriff’s Department reports that on July 27 a deputy made contact with a female, in the Love’s parking lot at I-35 and Fountain Road, who reportedly was the victim of a domestic two days earlier.

The female reportedly told the deputy that she was with Prince at Hideaway Bar and as they were leaving, he received texts and phone calls from other females, one of which wanted to meet him at Fancy Dance Casino.

The female said she confronted him about it and that he pulled over and started beating her and continued to do so as they were traveling back to Enid.

The female claimed that he punched her several times in the head, face, and abdomen before pulling over and stating that he was going to walk.

The female reportedly told the deputy that she attempted to drive off but that he jumped in the back seat, grabbed her around the neck and began choking her until she passed out.

She reportedly told deputies that they stopped at a motel in Enid and that is where she was able to get away from him.

Enid police reportedly spoke to her at St. Mary’s Hospital ER.

Kay County deputies report that she was suffering from swollen eyes, a large hematoma on her forehead, scratches and bruises on her chest and arms.

Deputies acquired images and her statement from Enid Police. They were reportedly consistent with what deputies saw and heard.

Charges were filed in Kay County on Aug. 13 and a warrant issued with bond endorsed at $150,000.

Prince was arrested and booked in the county jail.

On Aug. 17 bond was lowered to by Judge David Wilke to $100,000 over objections made by prosecutors.

Prince remains in the jail and is set to appear in court on Oct. 2.
