Kyle Bryan Davis

Davis is wanted on a felony charges of first degree arson, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, prisoner placing body fluid on city employee and domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Also a misdemeanor count of domestic abuse, assault and battery.

Ponca City police report that on May 18, officers responded to Paladin Apartments for a report of a subject suffering from a mental episode.

Police arrived and report finding a mattress on fire. Davis was reportedly in an apartment hiding behind the burning mattress.

Officers report that he attempted to run out of the apartment, striking Cpl. Tom Evans in the mouth with a closed fist, resulting in Sgt. Kisen Sharp deploying a taser.

Police report that the taser did not affect Davis so Evans got behind him and attempted to force him to the ground. Davis reportedly grabbed Evans by the vest and dragged him to the north end of the landing. Sharp deployed his taser a second time but again it reportedly had no effect on Davis.

Evans reportedly was able to bring Davis down to the ground with a leg sweep and the officers gained control.

After handcuffing Davis, he reportedly started kicking officers and spitting an unknown red substance at them. A warrant for Davis’ arrest is issued with bond endorsed at $150,000.
