Two people detained following reported hostage situation on Bell Road

PAWHUSKA — Osage County Chief Deputy Kevin Young said that William Ray Davis was arrested at the scene on a complaint of assault and battery with a deadly weapon as a knife was recovered at the scene. He is being booked in the Osage County Jail in Pawhuska. Young extended gratitude to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Ponca City police, and fire, Kay County deputies and MedFlight for their assistance. No injuries are reported.

MCCORD — Two people are detained following a report of a hostage situation at a location on Bell Road in Osage County.

Sheriff Steve Kelley said that authorities received a report that a female was being held at knife point by a male subject. The caller said the that there were possibly guns in the home.

Kelley said no one would answer the phone. “We pinged the phones and both were in the house,” said Kelley. “We obtained a search warrant and our tactical team with Osage County authorities breached the door.”

Kelley said both the male and female are detained and that everyone is being checked out by medical personnel. Kelly said Osage County authorities will investigate.
