Law enforcement logs April 4

The following information is provided by Ponca City police and the Kay County Sheriff’s Department.

At 2:19 a.m. a subject flagged down police and requested officers remove two subjects from his apartment in the 300 block of north Pine. One subject was cited and released.

At 5:27 a.m. a deputy transported a juvenile to Cleveland County and then picked up two juveniles and transported them to Garfield County. There the juveniles kicked out the back window to the sheriff’s vehicle. Another unit was acquired and the juveniles were brought back to Kay County.

At 8:58 a.m. Tonkawa police reported an injury accident on I-35 south of the county line. The KSO logs reports that it was a fatality accident.  Officials report that the driver suffered a medical condition. No report has been issued by OHP. It is the third accident involving a fatality in the Kay-Noble County area since Saturday. (see obit)

At 11:01 a.m. a female contacted KSO and reported she was assaulted by a female. At 11:50 a.m. a BOLO was sent out for Haley Thompson as a probable cause for arrest was issued. Thompson was later located in Ponca City and arrested.

At 11:22 a.m. police responded to Roosevelt Elementary in reference to a toy gun at school. School staff handled.

At 12:48 p.m. KSO received reports of an accident on Coleman Road west of Rocky Ridge. As a deputy was responding he was hit and his unit rolled over near Coleman and Pecan. The deputy got out of his unit. Two people were trapped in the other vehicle. (see story)

At 1 p.m. police arrested Steven Roy for public intoxication in the 200 block of east Cleveland.

At 2:58 p.m. police responded to 14th and Prospect for a report of a two-vehicle accident involving a small car and pickup.

At 4:13 p.m. police responded to Stolhand Wells Group for an employee reporting fraud charges on his account. officers determined it happened outside PCPD jurisdiction.

At 5:49 p.m. police took a report on an assault reported at Trout Elementary.

At 5:57 p.m. police responded to Five Below for a report of a male taking pics of a juvenile female. 

At 8:31 p.m. Tonkawa police reported an accident at Highway 60 and 60th Street. One vehicle fled the scene. OHP was notified.

At 8:38 p.m. Tonkawa police advised that there were 60 cows out on 124th between Hubbard and Hartford. A deputy responded.

At 9:15 p.m. a female reported she was being chased by a rabbit and didn’t know what to do.

At 9:44 p.m. police responded to Integris Health and took a report on an assault.

At 10:56 p.m. police arrested Marcus McMillian for driving under suspension.
