Court date set for Ponca City man facing drug charges filed by OBN

NEWKIRK — A court date is scheduled for a Ponca City man facing drug charges filed by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.

Jimmy Robert Gasaway Jr., 45, is facing felony counts of possession of meth with intent to distribute, conspiracy to possess a CDS with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during probation, possession of a sawed off shotgun and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

OBN agent Nick Denewellis reports in the affidavit that on Jan. 9 a search warrant was obtained and executed at a residence in the 100 block of north 9th Street.

Gasaway and a female were located inside the home and detained.

Agents searched the home and two vehicles outside.

They report finding digital scales covered in white crystal residue, multiple baggies, 1.07 grams of meth, and a shotgun.

The female was not arrested.

Gasaway’s criminal background includes drug offense convictions in Okmulgee County in 2018. He was sentenced to prison on the charges and released on Nov. 14, 2019. He is free on $25,000 bond.
