Law enforcement logs Feb. 19-21

The following information is provided by Ponca City police.

Feb. 20

At 2:08 a.m. police responded to Lake and Pecan for a report of gunshots. Callers from the 100 block of Viola and the 500 block of east Detroit then reported hearing shots as did callers in the 1000 block of north 7th Street and the 400 block of Virgina. Callers in the 500 block of north 11th, 1700 block of Cedar and 7th and Highland also reported hearing gunfire. Police said they made contact with some who were uncooperative.

At 2:27 a.m. police responded to the Valero at Oak and Grand for a report of a stabbing. Police are searching for Kevin Lemel Eagle Rhodd, 28, who is identified as the suspect. Rhodd was last seen southbound on Oak. Deputies searched a residence on Pleasantview, Ponca Drive, and Red Hawk. Officials said the victim is expected to be okay. See other stories on Rhodd below.

At 4:53 a.m. a resident in the 900 block of east Chestnut reported a white Chevy Malibu stolen.

At 7:42 a.m. police responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle accident at Waverly and Chestnut. The bike rider was reported to be alert and talking.

At 9:29 a.m. police responded to JB’s Laundry for a report of box diabetic needles stolen.

At 11:49 a.m. police responded to 5th and Summit for a report of a one-vehicle accident.

At 1:43 p.m. police responded to a report of a semi stuck under the bridge at South Ave.

At 2:04 p.m. police and a D.A. Task Force member attempted to make contact with a subject in the 700 block of east Albany.

At 2:22 p.m. police took a report on possible child abuse at West Middle School. A child abuse was also made at Ponca City High School.

At 5:37 p.m. police responded to the alley between Grand and Cleveland for a report of dumpster diving.

At 5:55 p.m. police arrested Jessica Bagg in the 700 block of north Oak on a drug charge.

The following information is provided by the Kay County Sheriff’s Department

Feb. 20

At 1:40 a.m. a caller reported that  a woman was standing by a vehicle near Highland and 76th Street outside Tonkawa screaming. A male was trying to get the woman back in the car. Deputies searched the area.

At 5:05 a.m. a deputy headed to Dallas to transport an inmate back to Kay County.

At 8:17 a.m. police arrested Anthony Bales in the 7200 block of Ranch Drive. Bales was then admitted to the hospital.

At 9:32 a.m. deputies were advised of a trash dump on Dry Road east of 60th Street. An address in the 3600 block of north 29th was found in the trash and a deputy went to the residence. A female at the residence said the trash would be cleaned up.

At 12:21 p.m. Blackwell police advised deputies that there was a two-vehicle injury accident at Doolin and Q Street. OHP was notified and a medical chopper was launched. No report has been released by OHP.

At 4:18 p.m. KSO received a report of a vehicle parked near Silverdale and Hartford. Deputies checked the vehicle and reportedly found a firearm. The vehicle was impounded before the owner showed up.

At 5:53 a.m. a female contacted KSO and reported that a subject was posting on social media about cutting brake lines on a nurse’s vehicle. The caller said she feared he was talking about her and that she had a break line cut in July but didn’t report it. Her call was noted.

The following information is provided Blackwell police.

Feb. 19

At 10:12 a.m. police took a report on a theft in the 1300 block of west Doolin.

At 7:19 p.m. a female contacted Blackwell police about threats made on Facebook concerning cutting break lines. Options were given and she later called KSO.

Feb. 20

At 2 p.m.  Blackwell police and fire responded to Casey’s for a Diesel spill. Environmental Works responded.

At 5:16 a.m. Blackwell fire assisted Tonkawa fire with a structure fire in the 300 block of north France.

At 12:19 p.m. Blackwell ambulance responded to Highway 11 and Q Street for a report of a two-vehicle accident with injury. At least one subject was transported. No other information has been logged.

At 12:55 p.m. police took a fraud report at United.

Feb. 21

At 3:46 p.m. police arrested Perry Michael Young in the 200 block of west Blackwell for public intoxication.
