Two arrested during search warrant conducted in Blackwell

BLACKWELL — On Jan. 24 the 8th District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and Major Crimes Unit assisted the Blackwell Police Department regarding a fentanyl-related overdose within Blackwell.

As a result of ongoing investigations related to the overdose;

In the early morning hours of Jan. 31, agents from the District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and Major Crimes Unit, Kay County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team, the Blackwell Police Department, Heartland Medical Direction, and the Blackwell Fire Department conducted a night-time, no-knock search warrant at 1319 West Blackwell in Blackwell Oklahoma. 

Two individuals were arrested at the scene. 

According to the county jail log, Randon Levi Higgins, 37, was arrested at the location and booked in on pending charges of distribution of a CDS, possession with intent, conspiracy, carry or posses a firearm by adjudicated delinquent and possession of paraphernalia.

The second subject has not been identified as of yet.
