Warrants issued for repeat offender

NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Jonathan David Leer, 29, Ponca City, by the Kay County District Court.

On Oct. 11, the court determined that Leer absconded from drug court and order bench warrants issued with bond set at $20,000 in each felony case and $5,000 in each misdemeanor case.

The Oklahoma State Court Network shows that Leer was convicted on Jan. 9 on a felony count of attempted second degree burglary. Other convictions include conspiracy and burglary filed in 2018; second degree burglary filed in 2021 and misdemeanor drug charges filed in 2021.

Anyone with information on Leer’s location is urged to call police.
