Sheriff radio logs Nov. 9-11

The following information is provided by the Kay County Sheriff’s Department.

Nov. 9

At 1:50 a.m. a deputy pulled over a vehicle on Highway 177 and Oakland Road. Warrants were confirmed on Derek Jackson. Jackson was issued a citation for driving on a suspended license and given a 10 day notice to appear. A tow truck was called for the vehicle and Jackson was dropped off at his home in Ponca City.

At 2:59 p.m. KSO was notified that Curtis McClendon was in custody in Grady County.

At 9:27 p.m. PCPD confirmed warrants on Robert Wilson.

At 10:15 p.m. Tulsa County confirmed warrants on Justin Kindle.

Nov. 10

At 5:58 a.m. a OHP trooper advised that he arrested Isaiah Fish on Highway 11 west of Ranch Drive and needed a deputy to transport so that he could get back to the city. A deputy responded and transported Fish to the county jail.

At 7:04 a.m. Newkirk police notified KSO of a gray 2006 Chevy Malibu reported stolen from the Jiffy Trip. The car’s owner said she stopped for gas, went inside to pay, came out and the car was gone. The suspect was identified as Richard Clark and that he was with a large white dog. Cowley County was notified. The female’s phone was left in the car so law enforcement attempted a Find My  Phone. At 3:33 p.m. El Dorado, Kan. police advised they located the suspect and the vehicle.

At 10:59 a.m. Bixby police confirmed warrants on Bruce Yates.

At 11:41 a.m. KSO was advised of a possible homeless camp under the Blackwell Main Bridge. Reports of at least 20 campers were received. Deputies responded and found one tent on the south end and an “enormous amount of trash.”

At 4:15 p.m. a caller reported that a woman jumped out of a vehicle near Ranch Drive and north of Highway 60. The woman was walking and the vehicle left on to Highland. Deputies were unable to locate.

At 6:47 p.m. Tulsa County confirmed warrants on Patrick Patterson.

At 9:15 p.m Tonkawa police confirmed warrants on William Hogan.

Nov. 11

At 1:16 a.m. a deputy made a traffic stop in Blackwell near Sonic. He advised that an another vehicle was shooting at the vehicle involved in the traffic stop. Blackwell police was notified. At 1:55 a.m. a deputy advised that he found five shell casings near O Street and Furgeson west of the Bridge. The deputy then went to East Acre Road at 2:20 a.m.; the 900 block of west McKinley in Blackwell at 2:34 a.m. at to Taco Bell in Tonkawa at 2:58 a.m. The deputy did not locate any damage to the vehicle involved. Deputies then went to the 6000 block of north Waverly to followup At 3:34 a.m. a deputy and a Ponca City police officer went to Paradise Apartments in Ponca City to follow up.

At 2:28 a.m. a Kay County deputy met a Noble County deputy at the county line to pick up inmate Charles Garner and transport him to the county jail.

At 7:46 a.m. a resident in the 1600 block of east Fountain Road reported that a stray bullet went through a wall of his home. A deputy made contact with neighbors across the street who had been target shooting.

At 9:33 a.m. KSO was advised of a heard of goats walking north on Pleasantview from Fountain Road. The owner was contacted.

At 12:14 p.m. PCPD confirmed warrants on Jeremy Vaughn.

At 1 p.m. KSO received a report that the pickup involved in an Amber Alert issued by Pottawatomie County Amber Alert was spotted northbound on Highway 77 near the casinos. The area was searched and Cowley County notified. The vehicle would later be found in Norman.

At 3:15 p.m. PCPD confirms warrants on Dakota Hicks.

At 5:40 p.m. KSO received a report of a female who had been involved in a domestic, was walking south on Highway 77. At 5:50 p.m. a deputy located the female. Newkirk ambulance was dispatched. The suspect was identified as 36-year-old  Isaac Russell Weeden and that he was believed to be in the field between Brake and Canteen roads. Extra patrol was requested for a residence in the 500 block of south 9th Street in Ponca City. At 7:37 p.m. a OHP trooper advised he had Weeden detained at Highway 77 and Tower Road. Weeden was arrested and transported to the county jail. The female was transported via Newkirk ambulance to the Integris Medical Center in Ponca City for treatment.

At 6:27 p.m. Blackwell police confirmed warrants on Kelsey Casey.

At 7:13 p.m. Tonkawa police confirmed warrants on Emma Click.

At 11:34 p.m. a deputy ran a check on a vehicle located at 5th and Hartford with a bullet hole in it.
