Court dates set for pair facing drug charges

NEWKIRK — Court dates are set for Shaun O’Neil Walker, 41, and Dustin Len Reid, 41, both of Ponca City, in Kay County District Court.

Walker has two felony drug cases pending against him.

On Aug. 23, Walker was charged with felony counts of distribution of a CDS, second and subsequent charge and conspiracy to distribute a CDS.

Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Agent Nick Denewellis reports in the affidavit that on July 24, OBN agents utilized a confidential informant and were able to conduct an undercover purchase of meth from Walker and Reid. Agents report that the substance purchased tested positive for meth and weighed 7.41 grams.

On Aug. 22 OBN executed a knock and announce search warrant at Walker’s residence.

Agents report finding 118.4 grams of marijuana, digital scales, used hypodermic syringes and other drug paraphernalia covered in a white crystal substance that tested presumptive positive for fentanyl.

Walker was arrested at the scene and later charged with unlawful possession of a CDS with intent to distribute, and misdemeanor charges of possession of a CDS and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the county jail on $45,000 bond.

Reid is facing felony charges of distribution of meth and conspiracy to distribute meth. He is free on $10,000 bond.
