PONCA CITY – Survivor Resource Network and United Way of North Central Oklahoma will present ‘a winter less cold’, at 10 a.m. Sept. 27 at the Carolyn Renfro Center Auditorium. It will feature a question and answer discussion on concerns surrounding the unhoused population of Kay County.

The agencies are both eager to bring back ‘a winter less cold’ to the Carolyn Renfro Center Auditorium in Ponca City for the first time since 2018.

The Community Conversations Series is requesting feedback from local community members on what options are available for, what future projects could be designed for, and what isn’t working currently for the chronically unhoused citizens of Kay County.

All Kay County residents are encouraged to register at Eventbrite or visit our Facebook Event page.

“We can’t thank the United Way of Central Oklahoma and Hospice of North Central Oklahoma enough in helping us with this mission of making safer communities in Kay County.”, said Tara Tyler, Executive Director of Survivor Resource Network, Inc.

“We want to get a good representation of people that work directly with the unhoused as well as community members that have a heart for this type of outreach.”
