Stillwater man killed in accident on U.S. 412
September 15, 2023 | HeadlinesCLEVELAND— The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a Stillwater man was killed in an accident that occurred at 6:29 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 412 east of Westport Road, five miles south and two miles east of Cleveland in Pawnee County.
Troopers report that Michael S. McKaskle, 50, was in control of a 2022 BMW R1250 motorcycle when he went to pass a 2019 Freightiner Tractor Trailer driven by Robert E. Davis, 56, Jacksonville, Ark.
Troopers report that both vehicles were traveling east when a dog ran out in front of the motorcycle. McKaskle struck the dog and was ejected and then struck by the semi.
Troopers report that McKaskle was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercy EMS and transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City.
