Sheriff department investigating shooting

NEWKIRK — Kay County Sheriff Steve Kelley said deputies are investigating a shooting reported at a windmill substation near Ranch Drive and Bender Road.

Kelley said investigators believe it is self inflicted shooting involving a worker from Texas. He said that the medical examiner took possession of the body and that the incident is under investigation.
