Blackwell police continue to investigate bomb threat

BLACKWELL — A report of a bomb threat resulted in the evacuation of the Blackwell Fairgrounds today for about 90 minutes.

Blackwell police issued a statement that reads that police received a call  at 11:35 a.m. from the Entrado Emergency Center reporting they received a call from a subject stating he was going to throw a bomb through the window of a marijuana business, which happened to be located near the fairgrounds.

Area evacuated the fairgrounds and conducted a search for explosive devices.

None were found.

The subject who reportedly placed the threat was located by police and interviewed. The incident is under investigation.
