New NOC assistant basketball coaches named

TONKAWA —  Brad Klump and Keshon Pratt are the new Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa Mavericks basketball assistant coaches. 

Mavs’ head coach Brandon Gossett made the announcements in early Aug.

  Klump spent the last year north of Los Angeles, Cailf. doing private skill development and helping launch the Statham Academy youth league.  

Klump trained players like Chuck Garica (Big 3), Andrew Meadow (Boise State), and Taylor Statham (12-year pro).

  Previously, Klump was the Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Northern Colorado.  During his time at UNC the Bears posted a 102-61 record including a CIT championship and a run in the CBI.   He also served as the Director of Player Development.

  A native of Colorado, Klump is a two-time graduate of UNC, earning his bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in business and master’s in sports administration.  

Pratt comes to NOC after completing his Master of Science at Missouri State University while also serving as a graduate manager for the Bears men’s basketball program.

  He assisted the Bears with day-to-day operations, player development, and other managerial duties.  In Pratt’s tenure at Missouri State, the Bears averaged 20 wins per season.

  Prior to MSU, he served as a student manager at Saint Leo University while pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree.  He assisted the Lions staff with game day preparations, student-athlete study hall, and other managerial duties. He is originally from Nassau, Bahamas.
