Red Rock native named NOC assistant women’s basketball coach

TONKAWA — Northern Oklahoma Tonkawa named Shelby Black as the assistant women’s basketball coach this week.

  Black earned a degree in in University Studies and Secondary Education at

Oklahoma State University Graduate.

“Shelby is a great fit for us,” said Lady Mavs head coach Greg Krause.  

“She has collegiate playing experience and is a local standout from Frontier High School. Shelby will have strong connections with area prospects. This is an opportunity for her to add coaching experience at the college level.”

She played at NOC Enid and Grayson County, Texas. Black, a native of Red Rock attended Frontier High School.
