UPDATE: Carlisle enters guilty plea

NEWKIRK — On July 7, Carlisle entered a guilty plea to the charges and was sentenced to two years in prison with all but 30 days in the county jail suspended.

NEWKIRK — A failure to appear warrant is issued for Herman Wayne Carlisle, 56, Shidler, by the Kay County District Court.

Carlisle reportedly failed to appear for a preliminary hearing on May 23.

He is facing felony charges of larceny of implements of husbandry and grand larceny filed on Feb. 1 after an investigation by the Kay County Sheriff’s Department. (see story)

Bond for Carlisle is endorsed at $50,000.
