NEWKIRK — A lawsuit has been filed in Kay County District Court against Affordable Dentures and Implants and Christopher Ryan Bugg, DDS, who is reportedly employed at DDS Dentures and Implants, 503 north 14th Street, in Ponca City.

The suit is filed by Oklahoma City attorney Chad Moody on behalf of Margaret Ann Dick.

On Dec. 20, 2022, The Oklahoma Board of Dentistry filed a felony count of practicing dentistry without a license against Henry A. Miller, 35, who reportedly was employed by Bugg at the dental office in Ponca City.

Officer Michael Lowe, reports in the affidavit that Miller was working at DDS Dentures and Implants, and that on a Dec. 10 the dentistry board was notified that he did not have a state issued dental assistant permit. (see story)

In the civil suit, Dick claims that she had an appointment with Bugg for a routine dental check up and that during the appointment Miller recommended that she have all of her teeth removed and replaced with implants.

Dick followed Miller’s advice and purchased implants. Dick alleges that Miller, who reportedly was employed as a dental technician, did the fitting on the implants.

As a result, Dick claims that she has experienced significant discomfort, pain and suffering.

She is seeking damages in excess of $10,000, compensatory damages, punitory damages, attorney fees and costs.

Bugg’s licensed was issued by the State Dentistry Board on Sept. 4, 2002.

A warrant remains issued for Miller with bond endorsed at $2,000. Anyone with information on Miller’s location is urged to call law enforcement.
