March 13, 2023 | CourtsNEWKIRK — A court date is set for Destiny D. Boyd, 25, Blackwell in Kay County District Court.
Boyd is facing felony charges of causing, aiding, abetting a minor child to possess and use a CDS and unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute.
Blackwell police report that officers and medics responded to Blackwell High School on Feb. 9 for a report of a 15-year-old having a seizure.
Officers report that upon arrival, the teen was lethargic and throwing up and appeared to be under the influence.
A student told first responders that the teen may have smoked marijuana with a subject identified as Des.
The teen was transported to the hospital and family notified.

Police later spoke to the teen. She reportedly told police that she went to Sonic for lunch with a friend and afterwards stopped at Boyd’s house.
She reportedly told officers that Boyd allowed her to have four or five hits off of a marijuana cigarette.
The teen then reportedly went back to school and became sick.
Police made contact with Boyd and placed her under arrest.
She reportedly denied giving the teen marijuana and stated, “I was smoking in here by myself because I was mopping when my dog peed on the floor.”
Police reportedly told Boyd that the teen stated a different story.
Boyd reportedly became nervous and advised that she did walk away from an unlit marijuana cigarette.
The charges were filed against Boyd in district court on Feb. 14.
She is free on $35,000 bond under the condition that she have no marijuana.
