Hearing set for subject accused of various offenses including trafficking fentanyl
March 9, 2023 | CourtsNEWKIRK — A preliminary hearing is set for Zachery Lee Tyler, 27, Ponca City, in Kay County District Court.
Tyler has four cases pending dating back to 2022.
Charges include burglary, two charges of trafficking in fentanyl, domestic charges, child neglect and firearm charges.
On Jan. 10, 2023, Tyler was charged with domestic assault and battery, possession of firearm, and child neglect after a female contacted Ponca City police and reported he pointed a gun at her in the presence of a five-month old.
On Jan. 18 he was charged with aggravated trafficking in fentanyl, falsely personate another, escape from arrested and three misdemeanors after police located an abandoned vehicle on Snake Road.
Officers report while checking on the vehicle, they located two subjects in a wooded area.
One of the subjects was identified at Tyler.
Officers report locating a bag of pills that weighed 10.3 grams. The pills were believed to be fentanyl and were sent to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for testing.
Tyler is being held in the county jail.
