Ponca City Wildcat one of 10 semi-finalist in Scholarship contest
March 4, 2023 | Headlines|SportsOKLAHOMA CITY — Ponca City High School Senior Kaydee Windom is one of 10 semi-finalist in the 2023 Free Ride Scholarship Program.
Windom and the other nine were chosen from all of the nominations that were submitted to Oklahoma City television station KOCO 5.

The winner of the Free Ride program will receive a new car and up to a $25,000 college scholarship. Four semi-finalists also will receive a $5,000 scholarship.
The finalists will be narrowed down from the 10 semi-finalists.
Windom is hoping to win the competition and attend Oklahoma State University to study dentistry. Her mother Laura, said that Windom is the Treasurer of the FFA of Ponca City, Capt. of the Ponca City High School girls varsity soccer team, and maintains a 3.8 GPA and is currently employed at Frazier’s Restaurant. She has been accepted into OSU for Biology, pre-med.
Other finalist are from Bethany, Cyril, Del City, Putnam City, Butner, Fairview, Marlow, and Star Spencer.
