Oklahoma City man enters guilty plea to murder of man with Ponca City ties

OKLAHOMA CITY — Damien Johnny Jacobs, 20, Oklahoma City, entered a guilty plea in Oklahoma County Court to first degree murder charge amended to manslaughter, in the shooting death of 39-year-old Blake Shahrestani.

Shahrestani, whose maternal family is from Ponca City, was shot multiple times at an Oklahoma City residence near Northeast 18th Street and Martin Luther King. (see story)

Jacobs was given a four year suspended prison sentence with credit for time served, 952 days in the Oklahoma County Jail.

Judge Heather Coyle levied the sentence.

Jacobs must also pay a $50 fine and court costs. Jacobs will be subject to the rules and conditions of the Department of Corrections.
