Shannon Leatherman, lifelong Kay County resident, is running for Kay County Commissioner District No. 3.

Leatherman is a graduate of Braman High School and furthered his education at Northern Oklahoma College.

He has worked at ConAgra Foods Inc. Flour Milling Division, the  Blackwell Coop Association as a branch manager of Bender and Braman and five years as the general manager of RN Concrete Products. Leather is currently employed at Ground Zero, which specializes in tornado shelter systems.

“The people of Kay County deserve someone to fight for them,” said Leatherman. “I love Kay County and have spent my life here. Kay County deserves honest leaders not afraid to tell the truth and someone that can make the hard decisions. My commitment is to be a voice representing the whole county and do what is best for all our citizens.”

Leatherman has three children: Mason, Amelia and Lainey Leatherman.
