The following information is provided by Ponca City police.

Jan. 23

At 12:29 a.m. a female requested to be evaluated. She was transported via ambulance to the ER.

At 12:58 a.m. a female requested an officer in reference to her belongings being thrown outside in the 1300 block of west Hazel.

At 7:05 a.m. police and ambulance responded to the 1000 block of N. Oak for a report of unresponsive toddler.  The child died and the medical examiner was notified. A report was made.

At 9:14 a.m. police took a larceny report in the 400 block of S. Palm.

At 10:20 a.m. police responded to Hobby Lobby for a report of male shoplifter. He fled in a blue Honda Accord with a tan license plate.

At 11:09 a.m. police arrested Don Atchinon on warrants at the probation office.

At 1:16 p.m. police responded to a report of a male subject making threats with a pistol at Paradise Apartments. The subject left in a white Dodge Pickup. Officers report it was a dispute between friends and no crime was committed.

At 2:24 p.m. police responded to a two-vehicle accident at 14th and Prospect. A report was made.

At 2:25 p.m. police responded to the 500 block of east Cherry for a report of squatters. Greg Foster was arrested on warrants as was Chiniqua Pugh.

At 5:03 p.m. police responded to the 800 block of S. 5th Street for a report of a juvenile throwing basketballs and soccer balls at vehicles. 

At 6:37 p.m. police responded to Elevate RX in the 400 block of west Grand for a report o shoplifter who stole marijuana.

At 7:58 p.m. police received a report that fugitive Kelsey Nichols was at a residence in the 700 block of N. 2nd Street. (see story)  Police checked the area.

At 9 p.m. police responded to Casey’s for a report of a passed out subject. Police arrested Benito Bentos on warrants out of Pushmataha County.


The following information is provided by Blackwell police.

Jan. 23

At 8:18 a.m. an ambulance  responded to a one-vehicle rollover on I-35. No injuries were reported.

At 12:42 p.m. police took a report on a bank account that was hacked.

At 2:55 p.m. police arrested Mikka Palmer on warrants at 6th and Ferguson.

At 10:53 p.m. police arrested Martha Allen on a warrant at 2nd SW Boulevard.


The following information is provided by the Kay County Sheriff’s Department.

At 2:31 a.m. Oklahma City police confirmed warrants on Gene Rogers.

At 7:17 a.m. a resident contacted KSO and reported that both of his vehicles in the 200 block of west Riverview were rummaged through but nothing was stolen. Information was logged.

At 8:21 a.m. KSO was notified of a one-vehicle rollover on I-35. OHP was notified and no injuries were reported.

At 8:26 a.m. police KSO was notified of the toddler who died in the 1000 block of N. Oak.

At 9:53 a.m. KSO received information from Otoe police concerning a subject sleeping across the street from First Council Casino  in a blue Dodge. A deputy responded but then lost power to his unit and had to pull over at Doolin and R Street. An oil pressure issue was solved and the deputy continued to respond to the call. The male subject was moved along.

At 2:10 p.m. a deputy arrested Jimmy Lee on warrants.

At 3:17 p.m. a deputy arrested Kyle Emert.

At 9:40 p.m. McIntosh County confirmed warrants on Laverne Burris.
