Minnesota homicide suspect captured in Kay County

Kay County deputies and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers apprehended a homicide suspect at 12:38 a.m. Thursday on I-35 near milemarker 221.

Texas resident, Aaron Le, 47, is accused of opening fire inside an oriental restaurant in Bloomington, Minn., killing one and injuring another. He was reportedly wearing an old man Halloween mask during the shooting.

According to the Kay County Sheriff radio logs, troopers were notified by Kansas authorities at 12:06 a.m. of a possible homicide suspect, considered armed and dangerous, traveling in a white Mercedes Sprinter Van with no windows, southbound out of Kansas on I-35.

Blackwell police and deputies were notified.

At 12:38 p.m. Le was stopped and arrested by deputies and troopers. He is being held in the Kay County Detention Center and the vehicle was impounded for Kansas authorities. (see related story)
