Warrant issued for Ponca City woman accused of exploiting disabled adults

NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Yamora Nasha Denson, 38, Ponca City, by the Kay County District Court.

Denson is facing a felony charge exploitation of an elderly person or disabled adult after two felony convictions.

Ponca City police report that detectives are investigating unauthorized transactions made on accounts belonging to residents of Supportive Community Lifestyles.

Officials report that the transactions occurred on July 5, July 8, and Aug. 1.

Functional assessments of the alleged victims were given to police. Due to the severity of their disabilities, officers chose not to interview them.

Denson was identified as a rehabilitation specialist who worked at the home of the alleged victims.

The site director reportedly asked Denson to attend a meeting. She was asked to sign a paper to verify her address and name.

She reportedly walked out and never returned.

A detective reportedly made contact with Denson via telephone.

She reportedly refused to speak to police with out an attorney.

The warrant for her arrest was issued on Oct. 19 and bond is endorsed at $10,000.
