Warrant issued for woman convicted of child abuse
September 20, 2022 | CourtsNEWKIRK — A bench warrant is issued by the Kay County District Court for Megan Lyn Logan, 31, Wichita, Kan.
Logan and two others were charged with child abuse offenses on Jan. 11, 2019 after Ponca City police reportedly responded to a report of two unattended children playing outside.
Officer Darold Ross reports in the affidavit that he responded and located two nude children covered in filth playing in the yard. (see story)
On June 8, 2020, Megan entered no contest pleas to the charges and sentencing was deferred for three years.


Since then Logan has failed to pay and or appear numerous times.
On Oct. 22, 2020, an application to accelerate the deferred judgment was filed and a bench warrant was issued with bond endorsed at $1,500. She was booked in the county jail and later released on bond.
On Nov. 6, 2020, she failed to pay as ordered and a warrant with bond endorsed at $3,000 is issued. She was jailed on the warrant on Jan. 11, 2021 and was released on bond.
On June 8, 2021, she failed to pay as ordered and a warrant was issued.
On Aug. 11, 2021, she failed to appear and a warrant with bond endorsed at $6,000 was issued. She was jailed on Sept. 27, 2021 and later released on bond.
Logan then failed to appear on Nov. 22, 2021 and a warrant with bond endorsed at $12,000 was issued. In January of 2022 she was jailed and a plea docket was set for Jan. 31. She entered a no contest plea to the charges and she was sentenced to a suspended 15 year prison sentence and one year in the county jail.
On May 27, 2022, she failed to appear for a compliance docket and a warrant was issued. On June 29 another application to revoke the suspended sentence was issued and a warrant issued with bond endorsed at $2,500 is active.
