Warrant issued in domestic abuse case

NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Kevin Lemel Eagle Rhodd, 27, Ponca City, by the Kay County District Court.

Rhodd was charged on Aug. 2 with a felony count of domestic abuse, assault and battery second and subsequent charge.

Ponca City police report that officers were dispatched to Frack It at 1:13 a.m. on July 10 for a report of a male punching a female.

Officers made contact with the female who reportedly had scratches on her cheek, bruising and swelling on the right side of her head, and lacerations on her knees. She reportedly told police she was in a fight with Rhodd.

Officers searched the area for Rhodd but did not locate him. Rhodd later called police and said he did nothing wrong. He refused to reveal his location.

The charge was filed on Aug. 2 and bond is endorsed at $200,000.

Other cases pending against Rhodd include domestic abuse filed on June 15, 2021. Malicious injury to property filed on Nov. 8, 2021.Domestic abuse filed on Dec. 17, 2021. Also, misdemeanor charges of domestic abuse. (see related story)
