PAWNEE — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that one person was injured in a two-vehicle accident that reported at 1:07 p.m. on Aug. 10 at the intersection of U.S. 64 and Oklahoma 18, three miles south of Pawnee in Pawnee County.
Troopers report that a 2004 Chevrolet pickup driven by Caitlin Marie Dodds, 19, of Pawnee, was traveling north approaching the Y intersection facing north on Oklahoma 18 and a 2017 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Gideon Mahan Gardener, 24, Ralston, was southbound on U.S. 64. Troopers report that Dodds reportedly failed to yield at the stop sign, and hit the semi on the right rear quarter.
Dodds was transported by Pawnee Fire Deptartment to Stillwater Medical Center and then transferred to St Johns Medical Center in Tulsa, where she is admitted in good condition with head injuries.
Her passenger, Ethan Jace Mumme, 19, Noble, was transported by Pawnee Fire to Stillwater Medical Center, treated and released. A second passenger, Victor Dewayne Nelson, 29, Noble, was not injured.
Gardener and his passenger, James Thomas Barlett, 31, Fairfax, were not injured.
Troopers cite the cause of the accident as failure to yield at a stop sign.
