Former NOC Mav drafted by Detroit Tigers

Former Northern Oklahoma College Maverick pitcher Trevin Michael was drafted in the 10th round by the Detroit Tigers in the 2022 MLB draft on Monday.

  He was taken with the 297th selection.

  Michael pitched at NOC in the 2018-19 seasons for coach Ryan Bay.

  Michael pitched for the Oklahoma Sooners in 2022 posting a 4-2 record with a 2.89 ERA.  He struck out 95 hitters in 71.2 innings pitched.

  He also pitched at Lamar University after graduating from NOC. Michael is a native of Piedmont.
