Sheriff radio logs June 17

The following information is provided by the Kay County Sheriff’s Department.

June 17

At 7:37 a.m. OHP advised KSO of a head on fatlity collision on Highway 11 near Highway 77. Newkirk fire responded. The trooper was at an accident in Noble County and could not responded until 7:52 a.m. The road was reopened at 11:14 a.m. (see story)

At 9:46 a.m. OHP received a report of piglets running in the road on I-35. Troopers were at the accident scene and the call was transferred to Blackwell. Police responded and handled.

At 11:22 a.m. a Blackwell resident reported someone throws bottles at her property in the 6600 block of south Main and that someone egged a vehicle at the property. Information was gathered.

At 11:27 a.m. KSO responded to a report of an unattended death at the Regal Inn in Ponca City.

AT 11:40 a.m. Newcastle police confirmed warrants on Judson Overland, 51.

At 6:18 p.m. KSO was notified of road damage near Pecan and Canteen. Commissioner Jason Shanks was notified.

At 6:40 p.m. Blackwell police confirmed warrants on Daniel Duncan.

At 11:43 p.m. Blackwell police notified KSO of two semis fully engulfed on I-35 at mile marker 227. The northbound lanes were shut down.
