NEWKIRK — A teen convicted of embezzling from Walmart has failed to appear in Kay County District Court for a court hearing.
On June 6, Dylan Jacob Morgan, 19, Ponca City, entered a no contest plea to a felony charge of embezzlement.
Morgan was arrested on allegations that he stole $3,000 from Walmart while employed there. (see story)
Sentencing in the matter was deferred for five years and he was ordered to complete 80 hours of community service and pay restitution. Morgan failed to appear for a bench warrant on June 9 and a warrant is issued for his arrest.
