TONKAWA — A Newkirk man is in good condition following a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 11:25 p.m. today on Fountain Road and S Street, three miles east of Tonkawa.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that John Vannoy, 47, Newkirk, was traveling west on Fountain Road in a 2013 Mack Truck, when he departed roadway to the right. He then reportedly overcorrected and rolled, hitting a culvert and then hit an electrical pole.
He was transported via ambulance to Alliance Health where is in good condition with trunk injuries.
Troopers report the cause of the accident as departing the road to the right.
