Accused T-post bandit enters no contest plea

NEWKIRK — Ponca City resident Dylan Ray Matthews, 37, entered no contest pleas in Kay County District Court in four felony cases, two misdemeanor cases and three traffic cases.

Matthews faces an array of charges including burglary, cruelty to animals and pattern of criminal offenses.

In the animal cruelty case Matthews is accused of shooting a horse. (see story)

The newest case was filed by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture on April 12.

In that case Matthews is charged with seven felonies and a misdemeanor.

In that case he is accused of stealing T-post from Kay, Noble and Osage counties. (see story)

Matthews faces a total of four felony charges in two cases in Noble County,

Sentencing in Kay County is stayed pending the outcome of The Anna McBride Court Program.
