Newkirk resident faces sexual battery charge

NEWKIRK — A status docket is set for Anthony Neal Berg, 43, Newkirk, in Kay County District Court.

Berg is facing a felony count of sexual battery.

Ron Teel of the District Attorney’s Office Task Force reports in the affidavit that Berg is accused of slapping a  7 Clans Casino female employee on the buttocks.

The slap was hard enough that the employee reportedly screamed. Berg then reportedly grabbed the female around the waist and a coworker pulled her away.

Casino security reviewed video and report that Berg is seen sitting at the bar with others pointing at the female before approaching her.

Berg is seen leaving the casino with others. He was reportedly wearing a hoodie with the name of his employer on it.

Two days later Otoe officer Austin Alexander contacted the employer and Berg was identified, contacted and an interview requested.

Berg reportedly replied, “Just because I slapped her butt.”

The employee was interviewed on March 7.

She reportedly said she was shocked when he slapped her and afraid when he grabbed her.

Berg was later arrested, jailed and later released on $10,000 bond.
