Second suspect in Fairfax murder sentenced

PAWHUSKA — Megan Nicole Ball, 34, who was arrested in 2019 in connection to the murder of 60-year-old Fairfax resident Heather Neuman, entered a guilty plea in Osage County District Court to an amended misdemeanor charge of obstructing justice.

Ball was originally charged with felony accessory to murder.

She is sentenced to one year in the Osage County Jail with credit for time served and placed on unsupervised rules and conditions and pay fines.

Ball was arrested along with Zachary Keith Pace, 25, in Cherokee County. (see story)

Neuman was found dead at her Fairfax home on July 17, 2019. Investigators report she died from a blow to the head. (see story)

In January, Pace waived his right to jury trial and entered a guilty plea to second degree murder. 

He was sentenced to 25 years in prison with credit for time served. (see story)
