One sentenced in Fairfax murder case

PAWHUSKA — Murder suspect Zackary Keith Pace, 25, waived his right to a jury trial in Osage County District Court and entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of second degree murder.

Pace and Megan Nicole Ball, 34 were arrested in Cherokee County on July 18, 2019, in the murder of 60-year-old Fairfax resident, Heather Neuman. (see story)

Pace was originally charged with first degree murder, deliberate intent. The charge was amended and Pace was sentenced to 25 years in prison with credit for time served.

Ball is scheduled for a status docket on Jan. 13 and is facing a felony charge of accessory to murder.
