Two Kay County residents face shooting with intent to kill charges

PAWHUSKA — Two Kay County residents are facing shooting with intent to kill charges in Osage County District Court.

Corey Dwayne Grant, 27, Ponca City, and Mary Alice Lieb, 47, Tonkawa, were charged with the offense on Aug. 2.

Investigator Ronnie Stevens said the pair are suspects in a shooting that occurred at the Double N Motel on July 14. (see story) Stevens said the victim, Triston Pappan, was shot while at the motel and that the perpetrators fled.

Stevens said Pappan went to Osage Casino seeking help and an ambulance responded.

Following an investigation, Grant and Lieb were charged and arrested.

Grant appeared in court on Sept. 16 and entered a not guilty plea. Bond is set at $100,000.

Lieb appeared in court on Aug. 2 and entered a not guilty plea. Her bond was set at $150,000.  On Sept. 13 she waived her right to a preliminary hearing and her bond was reduced. She was released and is scheduled for a hearing on Oct. 25.
