Locals take part in MLB’s Pitch Hit and Run competition in Arlington, Texas

ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Marli Arbona, Treyson Rabb, and Tristan Sattre, all of Ponca City, traveled to Arlington Texas, to take part in MLB’s Pitch Hit and Run Team Competition held at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers.

Participants compete in either the baseball or softball division and have the opportunity to advance through three levels of competition: Locals, Team Championships and the Finals during the World Series.

Fairfax resident Trey Bennett and Barnsdall resident Brohk Townley competed in the Baseball Division for ages 13-14. Bennet won the division ages 13-14, while Townley finished third.

Arbona defeated Addison Hicks, Carrolton, Texas and Bailey Willis, Mesquite, Texas to win the Softball Division, ages 11-12.

Rabb finished second in the Baseball division for ages 9-10 behind A.J. Fenelus, Ada. Sattre finished third in the Baseball Division for ages 11-12 behind Emiliano Maldonando, Dallas, Texas and Carter Curry, Allen, Texas.
