NOC launching new community podcast

TONKAWA —   Northern Oklahoma College is launching a new a new podcast titled “News You Can Use.”

  The podcast can be found at https://www.noc.edu/about-noc/nocnews/news-you-can-use/ .

  Created by Dr. Frankie Wood-Black, Division Chair for Engineering, Physical Sciences, and Process Technology, the podcast is funded through a NOC Presidential Partner Grant.

  Dr. Wood-Black said the podcast will feature a wide range of topics.

  “This series of podcasts will feature community interest stories like how does sports tourism impact our communities, how local entities work with students and other organizations to provide service learning opportunities, features about career topics such as interviews with local professionals, information from our faculty on topics ranging from animal care, lawn care, and  health care, as well as updates about activities that NOC would like to share with the local area such us upcoming fine arts performances and sporting events,” she said.

  “We hope that individuals will suggest topics and enjoy these podcasts as they are going to be produced by NOC students and faculty.”
