September 10, 2021 | Courts

NEWKIRK — William Goble Riddick III, 47, Blackwell, entered a no contest plea in Kay County District Court to felony counts of possession of meth with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute meth.

In a second case Riddick was charged with first degree rape, kidnapping and misdemeanor charges of domestic abuse and possession of meth.

That case was filed on Oct. 2, 2019, after a Kay County deputy and Blackwell police officer met with a female at Blackwell hospital who claimed Riddick beat her. (see story)

On July 8, 2020, the rape and kidnapping charges were dismissed because of a uncooperative victim.

Riddick entered no contest pleas to the remaining charges.

He was sentenced to seven years in prison with all time suspended and ordered to register as a meth offender.

Riddick was also sentenced to a one year suspended sentence in the county jail on a protective order violation.
