Sentencing deferred for trio accused of attempted robbery

NEWKIRK — The trio accused of trying to rob a dispensary have all been convicted and sentenced in Kay County District Court.

Timothy Lee Adams, 20, and David Eguia, 19, and Kazley Alexander Zotigh, 19, all of Ponca City, entered a no contest pleas to felony charges of conspiracy and second degree robbery.

The trio were arrested by Ponca City police on March 14 at Leaf King Dispensary. Police report employees of the business were holding a meeting when the three entered the business and attempted to rob it. (see story) Sentencing for all three is deferred for seven years.
