Sheriff radio logs April 21-22

The following information is provided by the Kay County Sheriff’s Department.

April 21

At 8:51 a.m. a deputy arrested Robert James and Cheryl Yahola at the courthouse on warrants.

At 9:14 a.m.  a caller reported they left a 1 ton Chevy Silverado truck with a welder compressor and tools west of S Street and Gate Road and it was gone. The vehicle was entered NCIC.

At 11:51 a.m.  a deputy arrested Donald Ray Brasher Jr. at Marshall’s.

At noon Tonkawa police advised KSO of an accident at North Ave. and Main Street. OHP and an ambulance responded. No injuries were reported.

At 4:40 p.m. a deputy took a report on a missing miniature horse.

At 6:41 p.m. KSO received a report of a white Chevy pickup that weed into a culvert north of Bender Road on 13th Street. The caller reported a female and two males were walking away from the scene. Deputies, troopers and Braman ambulance responded. Rustin Michael Smith, 40,  and Andy Ignacio Lopez were arrested. The female was located at a residence near 13th and Gate and identified as Jennifer Palmer aka Duroy. She was arrested on warrants. Blackwell towing responded to the scene.

April 22

At 9:16 a.m. a deputy took a report on a possible rape.

At 9:31 a.m. a report was made on a reported rape.

At 11:21 a.m. an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper requested assistance at Highway 177 and Oakland Road for a subject who fled on foot. A deputy responded to the RV Park at Highway 60 and 14th to detain a female while deputies and troopers checked a wooded area east of Oakland Road by Carbon Black for the male subject.

At 2:03 p.m. Newkirk ambulance OHP and deputies responded to a report of a one-vehicle accident on Highway 77 between First Council and Native Lights on the west side of the road. One subject was transported to the ER with minor injuries.
