UPDATED: Fugitive arrested near Brandts; Admits to vandalism

PONCA CITY — Ponca City police Sgt. Kevin Jeffries reports that Pappan admitted to breaking the windows at J.W. Cobbs after his arrest and that vandalism charges are being sought.

PONCA CITY — Ponca City police arrested Amarbe Pappan, III, 31, Ponca City, at 12:25 a.m. Monday near Brandts, 3203 N. 14th Street on warrants with bond endorsed at $180,000.

Pappan is accused of an armed robbery reported in the 900 block of N. Pine earlier this year. (see story)

He was arrested minutes before vandalism was reported at J.W. Cobbs. Officials report that he has not been linked to the vandalism. He was transported to the county jail.
