PONCA CITY — Ponca City firefighters with the assistance of Kay County deputies reportedly freed a female trapped in a vehicle today.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that at 12:23 a.m. a one-vehicle accident occurred on Riverview Road, three miles south and one mile west of Ponca City.

Troopers report Hallelujah Fish, 23, Moodys, Oklahoma, was traveling east on Riverview Road in a 2008 Nissan Altima when she reportedly departed the roadway to the right and struck a tree. She was reportedly pinned in the vehicle for one-hour before firefighters and deputies were able to free her using the Hurst tool.

According to the KSO logs, deputies Jerry Burtner, Wesley Bear, and John Garcia responded.

Fish was airlifted to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City where she was admitted in fair condition with leg injuries. Troopers cite the cause of the accident as inattentive driving and note that she was using a seatbelt.
