Enid man injured in accident in Washita County
February 27, 2021 | HeadlinesCOLONY — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that an Enid man was injured in single-vehicle accident at 7:17 a.m. Saturday on Oklahoma 152 just west of CR 2410 in Washita County.
Troopers report the Orland Mitchell Wasson, 63, Enid, was traveling west on OK-152 in a 1999 gold GMC Yukon when for unknown reasons he departed the roadway to the left. The vehicle traveled approximately 264 fit off the roadway before striking the entrance to a fence going airborne approximately 50 feet, impacting a culvert embankment and coming to rest.
He was transported by Life Guard EMS to Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford. He was then transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in stable condition with a head, trunk internal, trunk external, and leg injuries. Troopers report the cause of the accident as DUI.
